Problem

Heroku was throwing Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.eclipse.jetty.server.handler.AbstractHandler

Solution

Need to add copy-dependencies to your pom (heroku instructions):

    <build>
            <plugins>
                <!-- for heorku: https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/getting-started-with-java -->
                <plugin>
                    <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
                    <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId>
                    <version>2.4</version>
                    <executions>
                        <execution>

                            <phase>package</phase>
                            <goals><goal>copy-dependencies</goal></goals>
                        </execution>

    Thanks,
    This got my code working. I could send stuff to Heroku, but any of my dependencies seemed to be missing until I added this.
