MySQL Workbench Problems with Running SQL Scripts on Mac (OS X)

I had a problem running sql scripts from MySQL Workbench; it did work from the older version i.e. MySQL QueryBrowser.  Basically, the workbench would run the script but 0 (no) records/rows would be updated/affected.  Turns out that Workbench does not treat mac (osx) line breaks properly.  The solution was to use editor (e.g TextWranger) to convert “Classic Mac CR” line breaks to the “Unix LF” line breaks (via “save as” command).

I had the same problem on MySQL Workbench 5.2.37 on OSX – got it working with the method you described. What a headache when I suddenly stopped being able to declare stored procedures in a file… citing an SQL syntax error!
